I just attended the Alfresco Developer Conference in NYC. I must say it was a lot of fun to see such a smart bunch in action. Conference had a lot of interesting sessions. I ended up mostly going to Spring Surf and Alfresco Share related sessions. The highlight of the conference for me was Activiti BPM Suite. This is a new project run by Tom Baeyens who was the founder of ever popular jPBM.
The session I attended on Activiti focused on Activiti being designed for developers as well as business people and system administrators. The quick demo showed that they have come a long way very quickly. The Activiti Modeler looked very promising. In the coming days I intend download and experiment with all of Activiti.
